Dear Ladera Leopards and SDC Preschool Family,
I am so glad to be at such a wonderful school as Ladera. I have been in the field of education for over thirty years (yes, I started when I was One). I have taught grades kindergarten thru third grade for twenty years in the New York City Public School System and have been in Tustin School District for the past ten years. When I first taught in California, I taught SDC mod/seve at Loma Vista. It was an interesting and challenging experience. Ten years ago I came to Ladera to teach SDC preschool and feel in love for the preschoolers. Each day is a new experience and love every minute of it.
I received my BA in Early childhood education at Brooklyn College in New York and my MS in Special Education also from Brooklyn College. I also have a Ms in Education(reading). I have se,veral credentials Clad certification, multiple subjects , and special education birth to 5 years old. I am planning to pursue working toward an administration credential..
I have three wonderful sons, who all will be in college in the Fall. Gregory 20 years old, is in his fourth year of a 5 year BA/MBA program at the American Jewish University pursuing degrees in business. Eric who is 18 will be attending junior college to pursue a career as a Firefighter and business. Matt 18 is also attending a junior college to pursue careers in acting, communication and psychology.
In my spare time , I enjoy reading, going to the theatre, window shopping, socializing with friends and walking. Many of you have seen me on my daily walks around Tustin.
I look forward to a successful and productive school year as I join the Preschool Assessment Team and teach a social skills class. I am ready to prepare my little ones for a successful transitions to Kindergarten and watch them blossom and grow. I always wanted to be a teacher and I still love my career..........
