Lisa Schwartz, Room 401

5th Grade

Welcome! This is the start of my 16th year of teaching, all in Tustin. I am proud to have helped open the doors of Ladera in September 2001. I have taught 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th grades and have enjoyed them all. I am thrilled to be teaching 5th grade this year and look forward to many awesome learning experiences!

I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Child Development from CSU Fullerton and my Master of Science degree in Education from CSU Fullerton. I enjoyed life in the California wine country while earning my Multiple Subjects teaching credential at CSU Sonoma.

My daughter Gwen also attends Ladera and is in 3rd grade. We both love being leopards!

Some of my favorite things to do are...travel, garden (I created my first fairy garden this summer and I'm hooked!), swim, read, recycle, listen to music, and teach (of course!). I also love to go to the movies, theater, hang out with my amazing family, and play Rock Band on my wii. I like the color pink, scuba diving, Mexican food, politics, and the smell of coconut!! I'm really looking forward to the exciting events coming up this year, especially 5th grade Outdoor Science Camp!

It's going to be a TERRIFIC year!
