Parking Lot Safety

Ladera has a very long "drop off zone" along with a parking lot with many unreserved spaces for parents to use.  When dropping off or picking up students, please pull all the way forward past the Multi Purpose Room.  This will enable us to get more cars off of Rawlings Way.  Please have students exit vehicles on the curbside only as cars will be driving through the adjacent lane. Never leave your vehicles unattended in the drop off zone; this impedes the traffic flow and you will be asked to move.  If you are parking in the lot, and walking your children to the playground, please use the yellow crosswalk.  When picking up your children after school is out, please either do so at the curb or leave your car in the parking lot and walk to the front gates to escort them safely across the traffic lane.  Please do not ask your child to wait for you in the parking lot.
