Dear Parents and Students,

I am so excited to get started with the 2009-2010 school year! I feel so lucky to be a part of the Ladera family and can’t believe that it is my fourth year teaching 5th grade at this amazing school. Aside from my time at Ladera I also taught one year of Kindergarten at our neighboring Tustin Ranch.

I grew up in Tustin and received my Undergraduate degree and Credential from CSU Fullerton. After obtaining my degree I spent some time working in London with physically disabled students at the high school level. It was an amazing time in my life and reassured me of the fact that I wanted to be a teacher.

When I'm not teaching it is important for me to stay active and busy. I love anything related to music and often spend my time going to as many concerts as I can. I also love sports! My favorite team is the Boston Red Sox and I play beach football on a local co-ed team. I try to read as often as I can and also enjoy traveling...I’m hoping to embark on a trip to Europe next summer!

I know this is going to be a special year... I hope you’re as excited as I am! Go Leopards!
