CATCH is an acronym for Coordinated Approach to Child Health. This program brings schools, families, and communities together to teach children how to be healthy for a lifetime.
Beginning October 28th, 2008 Ladera Elementary will implement the CATCH PE program. CATCH PE combines high energy, non-elimination activities with teaching strategies that keep kids moving and having fun. CATCH PE significantly increases physical activity levels of students during PE class, and provides for a variety of learning experiences for students of all abilities.
Our new CATCH instructor, Maryanne Liscio, will be utilizing lesson plans formulated by the CATCH Training Institute. For more information, visit the CATCH website or contact Maryanne Liscio.
The CATCH PE program is sponsored by the Ladera PTO and supported by the efforts of the Ladera staff.
