California Distinguished School - 2006

A California Distinguished School is an award given by the California State Board of Education to public schools within the state that best represent exemplary and quality educational programs. Approximately five percent of California schools are awarded this honor each year following a rigorous selection process. Schools selected for Distinguished School Awards are strong, well-rounded community schools. The program was established in 1985 and alternates each year between elementary (even years) and secondary (odd years) schools. The award is valid for four years.

California Business for Education Excellence - 2006 & 2007

Ladera Elementary was named a California Business for Education, Just for Kids, Honor Roll School for 2006 and 2007. The CBEE Foundation believes all schools can reach high levels of student academic achievement and close achievement gaps.  Using academic achievement data from Just for the Kids-CA, the CBEE Foundation identifies and honors the highest performing schools in California.
